MEMORIAL RACE
We had an amazing turnout on Wednesday evening for the Alan's Memorial race. There were so many people who came racing, which included many hardened racegoers and quite a few new recruits.
Despite a pretty cool evening and a torrential downpour, everyone had a good evening and the sun even came out for the race and the trophy presentation, for which Sam Morshead gave a lovely chat beforehand and Ben and Sophie did very well with a very heavy trophy.
They had been practicing at home and were very excited about it. I was very proud of them and I think that Alan would have been too, he would have really appreciated the turnout and we hope that everyone enjoyed the occasion.
Many thanks to everyone who came and all the donations that we received. We hope that it will become an annual event for many years to come.
