LIBBY BRODIE (Assistant Trainer)
Libby joined us in 2004 having previously worked for a few other northern trainers. She originally came from a showjumping background before turning her attention to racing. Libby spent a year working with a Group One winning trainer Alan Bell in Sydney Australia.
She became Head Girl in 2007 and was promoted to Assistant Trainer in 2011. She is now responsible for the day to day running of the yard and represents the stable at race meetings.
Libby is a competent work rider and still schools many of the horses, her favourite being Frith.

STEVE FREEMAN
Steve joined us in 2002 after a short spell in Middleham and spending 12 weeks at Doncaster Racing School. He is a very popular member of staff and looks after his horses well, his favourite being Primrose Time. Steve is responsible for the upkeep of the Schooling Ground and the Gallop. He can turn his hand to just about anything and recently completed his NVQ Level 3 in racehorse care.

BECKY COWIE
Becky showjumped ponies for many years in her native Shetland, before moving to the mainland.
She spent 12 weeks at the Doncaster Racing School before joining us in 2001.
Becky is very good with the youngsters and is responsible for breaking them in. Becky is a very capable work rider and schools many of the young horses. She took out her Amateur License in 2005 riding the quirky Toad Hall in a few Hunter Chases. Her Favourite horse is Parsons Punch.
CAROLINE BARCLAY
Caroline has worked full time since 2004 having previously worked alongside her father Jim for many years. She is a well known face on the Northern racing circuit and a very popular member of staff.
She has gained confidence over the last few years and now schools many of the horses over hurdles and fences. Her favourite horse is English City.

Ross Wilson
Ross graduated from pony racing before moving onto point to pointing and hunter chasing. He joined us in 2010 and recently went to Doncaster racing school where he gained his Catagory B Amateur License. Ross will be hoping to get some riding opportunities under rules this season. Ross also helps with the schooling and rides some our more difficult horses. He gets on particulary well with Dickie Henderhoop and will ride him in most of his races this season.
